The were introduced in the mid-1970s. It displayed three sentences by just zooming in or by flipping horizontally; usually the first two disappeared quickly after flipping in, while the third flipped back out; this was changed when Drew Carey took over as host in 2007 and then discontinued for good by the start of the 2009-2010 season. Once all four players got called to Contestant's Row, the light border disappeared by zooming in off screen as the logo zoomed in, and until mid-Season 34, it zoomed out with the logo at the halfway point of the show.
