Theresa Ring (born in San Diego, CA) is an American Model, Actress, and former Beauty Pageant competitor. She previously auditioned to become the newest Barker's Beauty on The Price is Right during its 22nd season. She is also sometimes credited as Teresa Ring.
Early Life, Career in Beauty Pageantry & Acting[]
Native of San Diego, California. Theresa's first taste of fame came about when she competed in the 1984 Miss USA pageant, representing her hometown of San Diego, California. Three years later, in 1987, she competed on the talent competition show Star Search (hosted by Ed McMahon) as a spokes model.
Aside from life in the Beauty pageantry, she also developed a budding acting career. She landed guest starring roles on shows such as Quantum Leap, Freddy's Nightmares and appeared in the 1988 movie Dangerous Curves as a character named Vicki.
Game Shows[]
Theresa is also very familiar to TV Game Show fans. Fans may remember her for her work as the prize model on the 1980s version of Strike it Rich hosted by former To Tell the Truth host Joe Garagolia & the series ran from September 15, 1986-May 22, 1987.
From there in 1988, Theresa appeared as a one week guest Card Dealer on the Bob Eubanks version of Card Sharks. Also that same year, she worked with Eubanks again as she appeared as a prize model on The New Newlywed Game.
In 1991, Theresa was a card girl on the short-lived syndicated series The Grudge Match until 1992.
Also in the 1990's, the dark-haired brunette then auditioned to become the newest Barker's Beauty on the television game show The Price is Right during its 22nd season on the air and model tryouts to permanently replacing 18-year veteran Dian Parkinson, who departed the series back in June 1993. Theresa made her televised debut on (airdate) Monday, November 15th (following tryout model Tricia Gist Griffin's stint) and continued on to appear until the following Monday, the 23rd and a total of only 6 shows (Cindy Margolis made her tryout debut the next day).
