Jennifer is perhaps known for modeling lingerie for Frederick's of Hollywood, appearing in it's catalogs as well as walking down the runway.

In 2001, Wood was one of many hopefuls to have auditioned to become one of two newest Barker's Beauties on the television game show The Price is Right during it's 29th season, permanently replacing longtime models Kathleen Bradley and Janice Pennington, both of whom were dismissed from the program the previous December along with several of the show's staff members.

Jennifer made her tryout debut on the show on (airdate) February 12th and continued on until February 23rd, for a total of 10 appearances. The following season, Season 30, she was asked to return to the show after Heather Kozar, who was one of two newbies chosen as permanent Barker's Beauties, unfortunately had departed from the series in June 2002. Jennifer filled in Heather's spot for the remaining days of the 30th season as well as one three of the Armed Forces Primetime Specials on TPiR, (The U.S. Army, The U.S. Marine Corps, and The U.S. Police & Firefighters).

She also returned for the 31st season premiere episode on (airdate) September 23, 2002, making that her one and only solo appearance of that season.
