John David Roberto (born in White Plains, New York on October 23, 1969) is an American Television Personality, Game Show Host, actor, stunt performer, and writer.

Early Life[]

He attended NYU'S Tisch School of Arts where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in acting. He also attended the University of British Columbia, where he received a Master of Fine Arts Degree in writing for Stage and Screen.

Early Career[]

Some of JD's acting credits include landing roles of the soap operas All My Children, Passions, and General Hospital as well as appearing on the sitcoms Frasier, Step by Step, and Family Matters as well as landing a role on the Live action TV series The New Adventures of Robin Hood.

Roberto has also done some work on the stage in both Los Angeles and New York including landing the title role in Steve Martin's Picasso at the Lapin Agile at the Laguna Playhouse.

JD was also a stunt performer in films such as Flicka, Charlie's Angels, Galaxy Quest, The Amazing Spider-Man, as well as the web series The Bannen Way.

Latest Career[]

Roberto currently appears as co-host of Better, a syndicated morning talk show that appears in 150 markets across the US. His past hosting gigs include the reality shows How to Get the Guy and Are You Hot ?. He has also hosted American Idol Extra, the finale of The Search of the Next Elvira, Reality Remix and was also a recurring host of E! News Live.

His Game Show hosting credits include the Florida State lottery Game Show Flamingo Fortune, Cut to The Chase, and You Lie like a Dog. But his best known Game Show Hosting gig was hosting a revamped version of Shop Til You Drop from 2003-2005.

He also hosted The Price is Right Live! at the Bally's Casino in Las Vegas where he also served as the announcer. JD also appeared as the announcer on the actual show beginning on September 20, 2010, the 39th Season Premiere episode. He appeared in a rotation of announcers as the producers searched for a permanent replacement for Rich Fields, who was fired from the show the previous season. The rotation of intern announcers also included Brad Sherwood, Steve White, and Jeff Davis and the role ultimately went to George Gray (best known for hosting Game Show Network's Extreme Gong and the syndicated version of The Weakest Link).

JD is the author of The Hands on Dad blog and he has also written articles for The Huffington Post, Parents Magazine, and LA Parent Magazine. He was also a contributing writer to the Los Angeles Times in the field of Love and Relationships. His writing has also appeared in the Imperfect Parent web site and his travel writing has been featured on the World Hum.

Personal Life[]

JD has been married to his wife Karen Roberto since 1999 and together they have one son named Enzo.
