Early life[]

Lancaster was born in Tacoma, Washington. She attended Franklin Pierce High School in Tacoma. In 1998, she won the title of Miss Washington Teen USA. She went on to join the Sea Gals, the cheerleading squad of the Seattle Seahawks football team. Lancaster was a member of the Sea Gals for five seasons before moving to Los Angeles to pursue her dancing and modeling career.[1]

Before The Price is Right[]

In 2003, Lancaster was a regular dancer on the syndicated dance show Soul Train where she enjoyed a three-year stint until leaving in 2006. Lancaster appeared in the music video for Bo Bice's song "The Real Thing".[2]

In 2009, she was a trophy holder at the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards. Lancaster also appeared in the MTV comedy series The Hard Times of RJ Berger as Jenny Swanson.[3]

Lancaster owns her own interior design business, Lancaster Interiors.[4]

The Price is Right & Trivia[]

While still working as a model and actress, Lancaster scored the audition of a lifetime, becoming one of the newest models on the television game show The Price is Right during its 36th season. This was also the first season for Comedian and Actor Drew Carey who became the new host of the series in October 2007 after taking over the hosting reins from 35-year veteran Bob Barker who hosted his final episode on (airdate) June 15, 2007.

Lancaster made her nationwide debut on (airdate) March 24, 2008, and was one of five newbies to join the series (the others being Tamiko Nash, Ashley Guerrero, Tami Donaldson, and Stephanie Leigh Schlund).

On the (airdate) April 1, 2013; Lancaster became one of the four rotating hosts/announcers along with Rob Wilson, Gwendolyn Osborne-Smith & Manuela Arbeláez for the April Fools Day-themed episode called "Models Rule!" where her, Wilson, Osborne-Smith & Arbeláez swapped roles with current host Drew Carey and announcer George Gray who were being demoted as models.

On the (airdate) February 5, 2015, episode a "rivalry" of sorts between Amber and fellow model Rachel Reynolds occurred, with Rachel as the villain in the "rivalry." The "feud" began when Rachel was displaying the first One Bid prize, a digital camera, which also featured photos of herself, Amber, and host Drew Carey. Rachel playfully boasted about having the largest photo, while Amber's was accidentally knocked down. The two blonde beauties made up after the showcase round, with each one holding up framed photos of the other, but Amber, however, got her revenge by "accidentally" dropping Rachel's photo.

Another one of Amber's most memorable moments occurred on the (airdate) October 23, 2015, episode. She accidentally tripped and smashed one of the set lights after playing Double Prices which saw contestant Leah win a pair of ATVs.

In 2016, both Lancaster & Rachel Reynolds briefly appeared on an episode of the CBS action-drama series Scorpion titled "The Fast and The Nerdiest" where Sylvester Dodd (played by Ari Stidham) is a contestant on The Price is Right as he plays a pricing game called Pay the Rent. Since he's a human calculator, he knew the prices and told Carey where they should go before Carey even started to explain the rules to him. This also featured cameo appearances from both Drew Carey & George Gray respectively although unlike them both her & Reynolds never spoke.

In a 2017 Halloween episode where the cast portrayed members of a superhero organization known as "The Prize League" battling against the evil Dr. Trombones, Lancaster portrayed the Purr-tector, a superhero who also spreads the word about spaying and neutering pets.

Personal Life[]

Lancaster has previously dated Friday Night Lights actor Zach Gilford as well as former The Bold and The Beautiful actor Zack Conroy.

She was also believed to have been involved in a romantic relationship with former Price is Right producer Mike Richards. This came to light following the departure of longtime model Lanisha Cole, who has appeared on the series since 2003 and whose final appearance aired on November 19, 2010. The following year, she filed suit against Richards and co-producer Adam Sandler (not the comedic actor).

Cole mentioned in her court statements that Richards began showing favoritism towards Lancaster by granting her "free and easy access" and frequently allowing her to come into work fashionably late or miss work entirely to pursue other TV and modeling projects whereas Cole was suspended for a week for being absent from a single episode, even though she notified the producers ahead of time.

As a result of this, Lancaster took to social media to shoot down Cole's claims of her receiving special treatment from former producer Mike Richards by saying that Cole was lying and making the whole thing up as an attempt to make some quick and easy money by tweeting quote: "Being dishonest for money is more than selfish, it's downright evil when you are messing with people's lives and families. #LiarsSuck #Karma" prompting Cole to fire back at Lancaster as the two ladies engaged in a bitter feud on social media with many loyal Price is Right fans siding with Cole due to her longevity on the series (since 2003 as mentioned above) and have blasted Lancaster for shacking up with the head boss (one fan even went as far as to call her Dian Parkinson Jr. and as reference to the 18-year veteran model's torrid affair with 35-year veteran host Bob Barker).

Despite possibly having been involved in a romantic relationship with former Price producer Mike Richards, Amber was once married to local businessman A.J. Allodi. In a ceremony in Palm Springs, California, they married on October 7, 2017. The couple appears to have split in 2019.

In 2019, Lancaster gave birth to her son Russell. Later in her pregnancy, Lancaster unfortunately suffered a severe case of pre-eclampsia and was forced to deliver Russell several weeks prematurely to save both of their lives. Although it is unlikely Lancaster will be able to give birth again, she and Russell managed a complete recovery, and are both doing well.

Lancaster once owned an interior design business: Amber Lancaster Interiors, and she maintains a large following on Instagram as an influencer. She also recently collaborated with Vici Dolls to design a wardrobe lineup: Vici x Amber. She also continues on as a model on The Price is Right alongside host Drew Carey, announcer George Gray, and fellow models Rachel Reynolds, Manuela Arbeláez, Alexis Gaube, and male models James O'Halloran and Devin Goda.

In March 2018, she celebrated her tenth anniversary on the series. In 2019, she surpassed Gwendolyn Osborne, who now ranks as the sixth longest-serving model, having left the series in October 2017 after 12 seasons. As of 2023, she has now been on the series for fifteen years, ranking as the fifth longest-serving model (Rachel Reynolds currently ranks as the second longest-serving model with Holly Hallstrom ranking fourth, Dian Parkinson ranking third, and original model Janice Pennington, since its September 4, 1972, premiere, ranks the highest with her 28 years, a record that has YET to be broken).

Amber is also an active advocate of rescue dog adoption and recently spoke in Sacramento in favor of Bowie's Law - a law requiring a 72-hour advance notice before euthanizing any sheltered dog who hasn't found a home after she had called out on Instagram the actions of various shelters that were euthanizing dogs without any notice at all.

Personal life[]

On October 7, 2017, Lancaster married businessman A.J. Allodi in Palm Springs, California.[5]

In April 2019, Lancaster announced she and Allodi were expecting their first child in October 2019.[6] Lancaster developed preeclampsia during her pregnancy, which resulted in their son, Russ, being born two months early on August 3, 2019.[7] In late-August Lancaster revealed she underwent a partial hysterectomy, the removal of her uterus, as a result of complications during the birth.[8]

In September 2020, Lancaster announced her separation from Allodi.[9]

In November 2021, Amber launched a clothing line with VICI Collection.[10]
